The camp is about 6 km outside the Selous Game Reserve and the nearest gate is Mtemere Gate and there is also a landing strip about 10 minutes from the camp.
There is a total of 14 tents of which 5 tents have twin beds and the other 4 have double beds. Introduced in 2013, 5 deluxe tents with private plunge pool. All the tents are 1 meter above the ground and 5 tents have a wooden floor and the remaining 9 have lime stone flooring.
The Selous Game Reserve is made up of 54,000 square kilometers of south-western Tanzania and it is the largest protected wilderness reserve on the continent, three times larger than the Serengeti and twice the size of Belgium.
There are 350 catalogued species in this area. There is an elephant population of over 50,000 and more than 5000 leopards. There are also lions in the area as well as the endangered and rare African Hunting dog. The park also provides a home for some of the last remaining black rhinos. There is plenty of plains game as well as crocodile and hippos.
