Nehimba Lodge

Remotely nestled away on a huge private concession in the Northern part of Hwange National Park. Nehimba Lodge combines luxury living, ultimate elegance and African charm to provide you with an exceptional safari experience. Our 7 spacious thatched chalets are built on teak decks and along with the guest area, overlook the magnificent lodge pan, which are frequented by large numbers of elephants, particularly in the dry season.

Activities

Hwange National Park at 14,500 sq km, is one of Africa’s great Parks and is home to over 100 species of mammals, including nineteen large herbivore and eight large carnivore species, and nearly 400 species of birds. Hwange is elephant country and much of the game viewing relates to magnificent opportunities to view these, the largest land mammals, in a completely wild state. The lodge estate is in an exclusive 43 500 acre portion of Northern Hwange National Park.

  • Nehimba Private Concession, Hwange National Park, Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe
  • 45 minute small plane charter from Victoria Falls to Shapi Airstrip followed by a 15 minute drive into camp. Please note Shapi Airstrip is scheduled to open later in 2015.
  • Road transfer - 1 - 1.5 hour on tar followed by 2 - 3 hours through the park into camp
